The Hertzaudio Cento Pro CPK 165 PRO car audio system includes the CP 165woofer and the CP 25 tweeter with Tetolon dome and 25 mm voice coil, features ensuring a very wide and linear frequency response. The CP 25 employs the “Center Tuning Duct” technology: the tunnel at the center of the powerful Neodymium magnetic circuit, ensures low-temperature air exchange between the dome and the rear loading chamber, perfectly tuning the acoustics. The resulting very low resonance frequency is also functional for the woofer crossover point, elevating the sound stage. The sophisticated design of the mobile group and suspensions of the CP 165 woofer, featuring a 60Hz calibrated resonance frequency, ensures a medium-low power with excellent punch, making listening to rich low frequency genres a unique experience. The basket is consistent with the family-feeling of the Mille line with the addition of damping and protective rubber. The cone material is inherited from the Mille Pro, as well as the suspension butyl rubber and the Tetolon fiber of the tweeter dome. These materials have excellent damping and lightness characteristics, producing a balanced sound without resonance peaks. The gift box includes the woofers grilles made of a combination of metallic mesh and high resistance ABS plastic frame. The combination of these two elements allows the user to customize the installation with a sophisticated and elegant design.

The MLK 165.3 Legend car audio speakers system is composed of the ML 28.3 Legend tweeter and the ML 165.3 Legend woofer with the MLCX 165.3 dedicated crossover. The woofer originates from the ML 1650.3 Legend, inheriting all its technologies such as the Boundary Free Surround, the V-cone profile Pressed-pulp cone with cotton fibres, the six spoke aluminium basket with vented holes; however, it has been designed employing a high density ferrite magnet assembly, characterising its emission in the mid frequency range. The ML 28.3 Legend tweeter mounts the same Neodymium magnet assembly as the ML 280.3 Legend’s and features all the optimizations made with FEA methods on the dome profile, and that it shares with its “older brother”, except for the most esoteric features such as the die-cast aluminium faceplate, the CNC machined body made from solid aluminium block and the copper short circuit ring. Like MLCX 2 TW.3, also the MLCX 165.3 crossover features the “Hi-Contour” control to adjust the ML 28.3 tweeter cut-off frequency and so the cross-point with the ML 165.3 woofer, according to the position of the two speakers in the car. Through the tweeter three position level control, with 2 dB step attenuation, the level for a correct timbre balance can be fine-tuned according to one’s own tastes.

The significant power increase with this configuration highlights all the features of the MLK 1650.3 Legend system, with all the advantages coming from the multi-amplification.Besides, thanks to the Mid-Contour and Hi-Countor controls, dedicated to the management of woofer cut-off frequency and tweeter cut-off frequency respectively, the cross-point can be varied. Through each of these two “Countor” controls, featuring a two-position selector, the system frequency response can be fine-tuned, adjusting it according to the different acoustics of the cars and the different speaker placements and, most of all, the listener can achieve thieir favourite sound.

The system uses the 28 mm diameter MP 28.3 tweeter inheriting all the technological features of the Mille Legend ML28.3. The geometry of the Tetolon dome maximizes the typical dispersion of off-axis listening. The rear acoustic chamber with damping material contributes to extend response to lower frequencies achieving a resonance frequency of only 900 Hz. In this way the crossover point between tweeter and woofer can be lowered, improving the sound image in the car dashboard. The massive Neodymium motor minimizes nonlinearity managing the music program with very dynamic transients. The CCAW (Copper Clad Aluminium Wire) voice coil guarantees an especially light weight and stiff moving assembly. These technological elements interact with each other, resulting in a high frequency extension of 28 kHz, a record for a tweeter featuring a 28 mm voice coil. An elegant and compact angled tweeter support is provided with the system: this allows easy installation both on the A-pillars and on the car dashboard. The correct angle of the tweeter improves the stereo image, essential for an engaging listening.The MP 165P.3 woofer electroacoustic parameters have been forged to give it the pure and solid sound of an authentic mid-bass, designed for high dynamic systems. The voice coil with a generous 14 mm height, has a nominal 3 Ω impedance in addition to an increased power handling. Two-way systems Cento CK 130 features the new C 26 tweeter featuring a 26 mm (1 in.) Tetolon® dome and 20 mm (0.8 in.) voice coil for a detailed and natural reproduction of medium-high frequencies. The R&D team worked extensively to optimize the C 26 dispersion characteristics to maximize performance on the listening point, with a natural and progressive roll-off and a natural timbre that favors frequency linearity. Much time was invested in the research of the perfect material for the C 130 woofer cones: through a long process of customization of the materials SPP-M was selected (Semi Pressed Paper-Mica), which preserves the natural sound of the semi-pressed paper and enhances it with Mica powder improving rigidity. The result is an excellent balance between lightness and damping, essential for a powerful and controlled emission. The oversized ferrite magnet provides excellent control even at higher excursions. The ultra compact CCX 2 crossover featuring tweeter emission level control (0, +3 dB) uses selected components for a full and engaging sound. The CG 100 grilles included in the Cento systems brighten up the car interior with their sophisticated design. Made of high resistance ABS with metal mesh, they offer a high degree of protection within a compact size, ideal for in-car installation.

Radial Venting System technology ensures unparalleled cooling of the coil thanks to the eight holes at the base of the engine that allow air exchange with the tweeter support. This acts as a rear camera, sized for low Fs, to ensure a natural mid range and allow a low frequency crossover point with the woofer. Crossovers: The included 48" tweeter wires have high pass crossovers wired in-line. The input end of each wire is terminated with female quick slides that attach to the woofer terminals, and the output end has terminals that mate to the terminals on the wire attached to the tweeters. The crossover point is 3.5 kHz and the slope is 6 dB/octave. Each crossover is approximately 1" long and ⅜" at its widest point. The woofer is not crossed over.
