The problem is compounded by modern engines fitted with exhaust gas recirculation systems (EGR) whereby a proportion of the exhaust gas is routed back into the engine. With the presence of oil from the crankcase ventilation system, the exhaust particles are collected by the oil. This combination of oil and exhaust particles from the EGR build up to a point where it blocks inlet manifolds and valves, resulting in reduced engine performance and/or failure. HOW IT WORKS Direction-Plus ProVent Ultimate Catch Can system separates and redirects oil and air from blow-by gas produced from within the crankcase, which also provides the option of returning the oil back to the sump. By not fitting a Direction-Plus ProVent Ultimate Catch Can system in your vehicle it is likely that your engine will experience a progressive reduction in performance. There are 2 factors to consider: Is the roof rack TALL ENOUGH? All Roof Rack kits with a designated TALL mounting option have room to fit a table underneath. If your Slimline II Roof Rack uses a Front Runner Foot Rail mounting system, a table will also fit underneath. Many other Front Runner Roof Rack kits have enough height to mount a table underneath, but please keep in mind, we recommend 65mm/2.5 of clearance between the bottom of the roof rack and the highest point of the roof. Is the roof rack LONG ENOUGH? For REAR MOUNT installation, the table requires a Slimline II Roof Rack that is 1358mm or longer (7 slats). Please check the SPECS tab on any Slimline II Roof Rack for exact measurements of the rack tray. For a SIDE MOUNT installation, the table requires a 5 slat opening (the space between feet/legs). All Front Runner Foot Rail mounting systems have an opening that fits all widths of tables. NOTE: A min clearance of 65mm (2.5") between the underside of the rack and the crown of the roof is required for fitment of a Front Runner Table Kit. This Rack Kit is for truck canopies/camper shells/caps and trailers that have roof top sizes no larger than approximately 1165mm/45.9'' (W) x 752mm/29.6'' (L). The Slimline II Tray and four (4) supplied Feet mount onto the OEM/Factory installed track of your canopy/shell or trailer. This taller kit has space for mounting the Front Runner tables or other compatible accessories under the rack. NOTE: Additional fasteners may be required to fit OEM/Factory supplied tracks. All Front Runner Rack Kits contain installation instructions as well as all the components needed to mount the Slimline II Tray to your vehicle.
