This powerful slot-ported BassWedge™ subwoofer system delivers awesome output at an unsurpassed value.
The slot-port runs along the bottom of the enclosure and fires on the same plane as the woofer to produce excellent extension and response smoothness. The port mouth is flared to minimize air-flow noises.
The ultra-versatile BassWedge™ shape has extended sides so that it can be placed with the woofer firing out or straight down, off the floor of the vehicle. The shape works equally well in forward or rear-firing installations. This gives you plenty of options for tweaking the loading of the enclosure into your vehicle.
This subwoofer system is shipped wired, loaded and ready to connect via a push-button terminal.

C1 speakers deliver real substance and great audio performance in a format designed for easy fit behind factory grilles.
To facilitate fit, breakaway mounting tabs on the woofer frame allow the C1-400x to be installed in four-hole or two-hole mounting configurations. C1 woofer drivers benefit from proprietary FEA modelling and JL Audio’s expertise in low-frequency driver design. This knowledge is used to create speakers that can play loudly while maintaining a smooth, dynamic, low distortion sound.
At the core of the C1-400x is a proprietary, stamped, steel 4-inch (100 mm) frame and a DMA-optimized motor system. A mineral-filled, injection-moulded polypropylene cone is suspended with a rubber surround on the front, and a carefully engineered spider at the top of the voice coil, to precisely control motion and prevent impact between the voice coil and the backplate.
Tinsel leads are carefully routed and attached to the spider to prevent fatigue and buzzing. These are the same kinds of features and materials normally found on much more expensive loudspeakers. Equipped with a true, edge-driven, aluminium dome tweeter, C1 speakers stand further apart from others in its category with superior high-frequency clarity and definition.

There are times when an installation calls for a separate woofer and tweeter and other times when a coaxial is the better approach. With the Evolution® C3 Convertible Component Systems, the same product can be deployed in either configuration, delivering outstanding audio power and quality in each application.
The C3-650 system features 6.5-inch (165 mm) component woofers with oversized 1.2-inch (30.5 mm) voice coils, mineral-filled polypropylene cones and injection-moulded polymer baskets. The woofer design benefits from JL Audio's vast woofer design experience and advanced modelling systems.
The C3 tweeters are built with 1-inch silk dome diaphragms that deliver powerful, extended response, on and off axis. Flush-mounting and surface-mounting fixtures are included to fit a wide variety of installation needs. They can also be mounted onto the woofers in a coaxial format using the included fixtures.
C3 crossover networks are compact and built with premium component parts, including Mylar® capacitors and segmented air-core inductors. Four levels of tweeter attenuation are provided, as well as three levels of mid-range presence adjustment, for twelve possible voicing combinations!
Woofer grilles are included, each consisting of a black grille tray and a black steel mesh grille with an electroformed JL Audio logo.

Designed to produce a serious 1000 watts into 2 ohms (14.4V, 1% THD), the JD1000/1 amplifier is a great solution for powering subwoofers in a cost-conscious system. Our proprietary NexD™ switching technology delivers large amounts of real-world power output with excellent efficiency and ultra-low distortion.
The JD1000/1’s controls are located on the input panel. while the power and speaker connections can be found along the opposite end of its extruded aluminum chassis. Signal processing features include a 12 dB / octave low-pass filter, with continuously variable frequency selection from 50-500 Hz, and a variable bass boost EQ. Dual-range, differential-balanced inputs are also on-hand, capable of accepting line-level and speaker-level signals. Automatic turn-on capability (via signal sensing or DC-offset sensing) is standard, along with a set of preamp outputs so you can easily pass signals to another amplifier.
The JD1000/1 is also equipped with an onboard LED-clipping indicator ring, surrounding the input sensitivity control. The key to its performance lies in the precise tuning of its dual 8W3v3 subwoofer drivers, each in separate airspace, with an efficient slot-ported design.
Extensive interior bracing permits the use of thinner wall material that maximizes the enclosure’s internal volume relative to its exterior volume. The port for each driver wraps around two walls of the enclosure to produce the necessary low tuning frequency that ensures excellent extension and response smoothness.

Taking the W7 design formula to its highest level, the 13W7AE offers a staggering linear excursion envelope that exceeds 1.25 inches (32 mm) one-way, along with a suspension capable of over 4-inches of peak-to-peak excursion. Combine that with a piston diameter that is 28% larger than the 12W7AE's, and you have a serious high-performance driver for the most demanding applications. Built on JL Audio's patented thin-line subwoofer technology, the 12TW1 delivers a powerful combination of shallow mounting depth and excursion capability, while operating in insanely small enclosures (0.65 cu.ft. / 18.4 liters). This, combined with a special cast alloy frame design, makes the 12TW1 capable of operating in extremely tight spaces. These include under-seat installations in trucks, 2-seat sports cars and many other creative applications requiring a compact, low profile subwoofer design.
JL Audio's patented thin-line woofer technology compresses the architecture of the 12TW1 using a "concentric tube" structure built into the injection-molded cone body. This structure supports the voice coil and a full annular spider, while permitting the placement of a large motor structure further forward in the speaker than with conventional designs.
The 12TW1 also features a clever frame design that minimizes the frontal clearance required for the excursion of the driver. This is accomplished by recessing the suspension attachment surface, so that most of the forward excursion occurs within the frame's dimensions. Thanks to this feature, the 12TW1 requires only 0.87 inches (22 mm) of frontal clearance, even with its grille installed. This allows for more efficient use of space and increased enclosure volume within a given overall depth.
Even though the 12TW1 is optimized for an enclosure much smaller than any other JL Audio twelve-inch Subwoofer, it never sounds like a big woofer struggling in a tiny box...instead, it delivers all the rich, deep, controlled bass you have come to expect from a JL Audio subwoofer system.

TW1 10-inch Subwoofer (300 W, 2 Ω)
Built on JL Audio's patented thin-line subwoofer technology, the 10TW1 delivers a powerful combination of shallow mounting depth and excursion capability, while operating in insanely small enclosures (0.35 cu.ft. / 10 liters). This, combined with a special cast alloy frame design, makes the 10TW1 capable of operating in extremely tight spaces. These include under-seat installations in trucks, 2-seat sports cars and many other creative applications requiring a compact, low profile subwoofer design.
JL Audio's patented thin-line woofer technology compresses the architecture of the 10TW1 using a "concentric tube" structure built into the injection-molded cone body. This structure supports the voice coil and a full annular spider, while permitting the placement of a large motor structure further forward in the speaker than with conventional designs.
The 10TW1 also features a clever frame design that minimizes the frontal clearance required for the excursion of the driver. This is accomplished by recessing the suspension attachment surface, so that most of the forward excursion occurs within the frame's dimensions. Thanks to this feature, the 10TW1 requires only 0.87 inches (22 mm) of frontal clearance, even with its grille installed. This allows for more efficient use of space and increased enclosure volume within a given overall depth.
Even though the 10TW1 is optimized for an enclosure much smaller than any other JL Audio ten-inch Subwoofer, it never sounds like a big woofer struggling in a tiny box...instead, it delivers all the rich, deep, controlled bass you have come to expect from a JL Audio subwoofer system.

The 8W1v3 is an outstanding choice when space is very tight and amplifier power is moderate. It features shallow mounting depth (3.86 in. / 98 mm) and a compact motor structure, allowing it to comfortably fit in a lot of spaces where a typical 8-inch driver will not. Lacking a pole vent, the rear of the motor structure can be placed directly against an enclosure boundary. Excellent excursion capability and linearity allow it to reproduce sub-bass with shocking extension and quality. Several of JL Audio's proprietary technologies enhance its performance and reliability.
The 8W1v3-4 is best used with amplifier power in the 50W - 150W range and is optimized to operate in a compact 0.350 cu. ft. (9.90 l) sealed enclosure. Detailed enclosure recommendations can be found in the "Specifications" tab.

Engineered to deliver amazing sound from factory locations, CF speakers are designed with shallow polymer frames and breakaway mounting tabs for maximum compatibility in today's most popular vehicles, including those from Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, Dodge, Jeep, RAM, Toyota and many more.
CF drivers benefit from our proprietary FEA modeling and expertise in loudspeaker design. This knowledge is used to create speakers that can play loudly, while maintaining a smooth, dynamic low-distortion sound. At the core of the CF-350mt mid-tweeter is a proprietary 3.5" (90 mm) composite frame and a DMA-optimized motor system. An ultralight, fiber-reinforced pulp cone with a custom "S" roll surround delivers excellent efficiency and extended high-frequency response. A flat, progressive-roll spider ensures linear compliance, while the neodymium motor packs astonishing energy from an ultracompact and lightweight package. Each speaker's glass-filled, high-temperature polymer frame is outfitted with insert-molded terminals and a low-profile perforated metal grille to easily fit behind factory trim, while providing excellent UV protection in exposed dashboard locations.
For passive applications as midtreble speakers, in-line second order high-pass filters are included to enhance smoothness and improve power handling. CF-350mt speakers can also be used actively as true midrange or mid-tweeter drivers to create outstanding two-way or three-way systems. The 1" (25 mm) C6 component tweeters feature edge-driven pure silk dome diaphragms for smooth high-frequency performance with remarkable off-axis response and damping. Surface- and flush-mount fixtures are included to fit a wide variety of installation applications.
Premium passive crossover networks are included with each C6-650 component system. Featuring four levels of tweeter adjustment, these outboard filter networks are equipped with premium polyester film and electrolytic capacitors as well as low-loss air-core inductors — all accessible beneath a protective, polycarbonate cover. Each C6 passive crossover also includes an advanced electronic tweeter protection circuit designed to minimize the possibility of tweeter failure.

This knowledge is used to create speakers that can play loudly, while maintaining a smooth, dynamic, low distortion sound. At the core of the C1-690x is a proprietary, stamped, steel 6 x 9-inch (150 x 230 mm) oval frame and a DMA-optimized motor system. A mineral-filled, injection-molded polypropylene cone is suspended with a rubber surround on the front, and a carefully engineered flat Conex® spider at the top of the voice coil, to precisely control motion and prevent impact between the voice coil and the back plate. Tinsel leads are carefully routed and attached to the spider to prevent fatigue and buzzing. These are the same kinds of features and materials normally found on much more expensive loudspeakers.
Equipped with a true, edge-driven, aluminum dome tweeter, C1 speakers stand further apart from others in its category with superior high-frequency clarity and definition. The tweeter’s design has inherently excellent off-axis response and high-frequency extension. It also benefits from the damping of a silk surround suspension and Ferrofluid in the voice coil gap, along with the superior strength of a neodymium magnet circuit. A true, 2nd order high-pass filter is employed to further enhance smoothness and improve power handling.

Engineered for high-power, subwoofer applications, the RD1500/1 monoblock amplifier is built to deliver staggering amounts of world-class bass output. Dual-range, differential-balance inputs are also onboard, capable of accepting most input voltage levels. Automatic turn-on capability (via signal sensing or DC-offset sensing) is standard, along with a set of preamp outputs so you can easily pass signals to another amplifier.
The RD1500/1 is also equipped with an onboard LED-clipping indicator. This all-new, innovative feature lets you easily set your amplifier’s input sensitivity setting, quickly and accurately, with no special equipment needed. The RD1500/1 features a durable, black powder-coated finish and a top-mounted, dual-color LED light strip that reports the overall status and condition. Utilizing our exclusive NexD™ high-speed switching technologies, the JD400/4 amplifier is engineered to deliver loads of clean power, with excellent efficiency and low distortion. This little guy churns out 100 watts of audio from each of its four channels into 2 ohms (14.4V, 1% THD) and is fully bridgeable, so it can be used as a 3-channel amplifier, or as a 2-channel amplifier producing a whopping 200W x 2 into 4 ohms.
The JD400/4’s controls can be found on the input panel of the amplifier, with all speaker and power connections located along the opposite end of the extruded aluminum chassis. Signal processing features include high or low-pass 12 dB / octave filters (defeatable) for each channel pair, with continuously variable frequency selection from 50-500 Hz, and dual-range, differential-balanced inputs capable of accepting line-level or speaker-level signals. Automatic turn-on capability (via signal sensing or DC-offset sensing) is standard equipment.
Onboard LED-clipping indicators are also included surrounding each input sensitivity control. This convenient feature lets you set your amplifier’s input sensitivity, quickly and accurately, without special equipment. You will also find a set of buffered, pass-through preamp outputs on-board, so you can pass signals to another amplifier.
NexD Switching Technology
Let's get a little nerdy... A traditional PWM switching amp design uses a fixed switching frequency and varies the pulse width based solely on the audio input signal to the pulse modulator. This basic approach assumes some ideal conditions, like a rock-steady power supply, that do not necessarily occur in a real, in-car installation. Power supply sag with signal causes distortion at all power levels with these designs, even well below clipping. The cure for this is feedback (a corrective signal sent back to the input side), but this becomes impractical as the audio frequency increases, making it a good solution for band-limited (subwoofer) amps, but not for full-range amplifiers.
Taking the above into account when designing the NexD™ subwoofer amplifiers, we have taken the simple fixed PWM approach and enhanced it with a very high switching frequency: 240 kHz, which is about 4x higher than most Class D subwoofer amplifiers. This pushes the amplifier's bandwidth to at least 500 Hz with minimal distortion and improves efficiency, while keeping typically bulky circuity more compact. Your subwoofers will reward you with tight, rock-solid bass performance.
For the full-range NexD™ amplifiers and channels we applied a variable, ultra-high speed version of the NexD™ technology (switching at well over 400 kHz). In these designs, a self-oscillating modulator with "feed-forward" sends information about the instantaneous power supply voltage to the modulator, combining this with the input signal to cancel out any distortion due to supply voltage fluctuation. This reduces distortion prior to applying feedback, simplifying the overall feedback loop design.
Differential-Balanced Inputs
Today’s vehicles are equipped with sophisticated electronics capable of generating noise and interference that can intrude into the audio path, ruining the listening experience. Most audio equipment uses single-ended, ground-referenced RCA jacks to receive audio signals. This means that the RCA shield is connected directly to the signal ground. This is a simple, cost-effective input design that works well for short runs in noise-free environments. In noisier environments, this method cannot reject the common mode noise that could be on both RCA conductors (shield and center conductor).
By having more than one chassis-grounded RCA shield on a device, single-ended input designs are also more susceptible to ground loops. If noise is present on both conductors while the shield is connected to ground, the input amplifier will amplify the noise relative to the grounded RCA shield. When there are multiple RCA connections or any other conductors subjected to a magnetic field, this will cause a difference in potential across the RCA loop to be amplified at the grounded RCA as noise (a classic ground loop).
JL Audio’s Differential-Balanced Input circuits measure the center pin of the RCA connection relative to the RCA shield, even when the shield is not connected to ground, and even when the voltages at both conductors are moving relative to ground. Because both the center conductor and the shield see high impedance to ground at the input, a ground loop cannot be formed, as there is no current flow to induce a voltage as noise. This works equally well with differential-balanced, or unbalanced signal sources, making this input architecture compatible with all standard car and marine audio equipment, using standard, unshielded, twisted-pair RCA cables. No special cables are required, unlike the fully balanced connections used in professional audio.
Another benefit of the Differential-Balanced Input design is that it easily accepts low-level and high-level signals from a variety of factory head unit outputs and amplifiers, including single-ended “ground referenced” sources, as well as Balanced or Unbalanced “Bridged or BTL” sources. This eliminates the need for Line Output Converters (LOCs) in most installation scenarios. The obvious question is: “Why don’t all car audio amplifiers use Differential-Balanced Inputs?” The answer is simple: it costs more. Executing a proper differential-balanced input section requires more components and better quality components than a basic single-ended design, so you generally won’t find them on less expensive amplifiers.

To facilitate fit, spacer/adaptor rings are included allowing the C1-690 woofers to be installed in bottom-mount applications. Surface and flush mounts are included with C1 tweeters for maximum installation versatility.
C1 woofer drivers benefit from proprietary FEA modelling and JL Audio’s expertise in low-frequency driver design. This knowledge is used to create speakers that can play loudly while maintaining a smooth, dynamic, low distortion sound.
At the core of the C1-690 are a proprietary, stamped, steel 6 x 9-inch (150 x 230 mm) oval frame and a DMA-optimized motor system. A mineral-filled, injection-moulded polypropylene cone is suspended with a rubber surround on the front, and a carefully engineered flat Conex® spider at the top of the voice coil, to precisely control motion and prevent impact between the voice coil and the backplate.
Tinsel leads are carefully routed and attached to the spider to prevent fatigue and buzzing. These are the same kinds of features and materials normally found on much more expensive loudspeakers.
Equipped with a true, edge-driven, 1-inch aluminium dome tweeter, the C1-690 stands further apart from others in its category with superior high-frequency clarity and definition.
The tweeter’s design has an inherently excellent off-axis response and high-frequency extension. It also benefits from the damping of a silk surround suspension and Ferrofluid in the voice coil gap, along with the superior strength of a neodymium magnet circuit.
An in-line, outboard 2nd order high-pass filter, with Advanced Tweeter Protection Circuitry, is included to further enhance smoothness and improve power handling.

C7 is the pinnacle of JL Audio automotive loudspeaker design, benefiting from our most advanced development tools and a complete commitment to precision manufacturing.
The C7-100ct component tweeter is designed to deliver unparalleled high-frequency performance. Utilizing a corundum ceramic-coated aluminium alloy diaphragm suspended via treated silk, s-roll surround, it provides spectacularly detailed reproduction of treble frequencies with an outstanding off-axis response. Distortion and non-linearities have been minimized through critical optimization of dynamic motor and suspension behaviours.
Passive crossover networks are not included with C7 drivers, as they are designed for active systems. Instead, we recommend a high-quality tuning DSP, such as the JL Audio TwK™ 88 or D8, and a dedicated amplifier channel for each C7 loudspeaker in the system. Precise setup of equalization, delay and crossover filters will ensure optimal in-vehicle performance.
Sold individually, with flush and surface mounting fixtures and hardware. One 15μF tweeter protection capacitor is also included.
DESIGN FEATURES:
Dome Diaphragm: Corundum ceramic-coated aluminium alloy diaphragm exhibits high stiffness, very low mass and excellent environmental stability. It also helps the tweeter dome to hold its shape and operate as a true piston at higher frequencies, without a penalty in moving mass.
Suspension Design: The diaphragm’s motion is centred, sprung and damped by treated silk, s-roll surround. Ferrofluid in the magnetic gap acts as a rear suspension element in this design. The two combine to provide optimum damping without unduly restricting excursion.
Motor Design: The C7-100ct employs a high-density magnetic circuit with a neodymium magnet and U-Yoke motor topology. An under-hung voice coil is employed, wound with copper-clad aluminium wire onto an aluminium voice coil former. Motor magnetics have been precisely optimized utilizing advanced FEA tools to lower even-order distortion and IMD/AMD.
Acoustical Design: The shape of the tweeter housing is designed to boost sensitivity in a very specific bandwidth, helping to flatten the frequency response. It also provides improved control of directivity.

The smoothness and transparency of a high-end silk dome tweeter combine with top-flight component woofer performance to create a loudspeaker system with exceptional refinement and dynamic capability.
The C5-650 component system features 6.5-inch (165 mm) component woofers with die-cast alloy baskets and Kurt Müller cones and suspensions. This woofer benefits from JL Audio’s vast woofer design experience and advanced modelling systems.
The C5 component tweeters are built with 0.75-inch silk dome diaphragms that deliver smooth, extended response, on and off-axis. Flush-mounting and surface-mounting fixtures are included to fit a wide variety of installation needs. The flush-mount fixtures feature our RSR (Ratcheting Swivel Rotation) mechanism to allow precise tweeter aiming after installation.
C5 crossover networks are compact and built with premium component parts, including Mylar® capacitors and segmented air-core inductors. Four levels of tweeter attenuation are provided, as well as three levels of mid-range presence adjustment, for twelve possible voicing combinations!
