For improved dynamic range, Focal recommends you use four amplifier channels to bi-amp these speakers by using the crossover's separate inputs for the tweeter and woofer.
Note: If only using two amplifier channels to drive these speakers, you'll need to connect short pieces of speaker wire to the tweeter and woofer inputs on each crossover.

A classic woofer with a twist
The 6-1/2" woofer uses Focal's classic "W" sandwich cone design for incredibly accurate audio reproduction. The light foam core is sandwiched between the nimble aramid fiber and fiberglass layers, so the woofer can demonstrate the control needed to play delicate classical passages, yet handle the power needed to drive your bass-heavy tracks with authority. Focal adds a Tuned Mass Damper (TMD®) rubber surround which minimizes harmonic distortion for the cleanest midrange possible. The 3" driver in this 3-way system uses the same sandwich cone to deliver all the midrange details, as well as an aluminum phase plug for extended frequency response.
The two included Focal crossovers provide five level and crossover slope settings to dial in the sound in your vehicle.
A responsive tweeter
Focal employs a unique 1-1/8" aramid fiber tweeter with an "M"-shaped inverted dome design that disperses the highs with remarkable precision, all the way up to 22,000 Hz. The K2 Power crossovers use hand-made components to deliver an ideal blend of the highs and lows for a dynamic stereo image. All the necessary mounting hardware is included, and integrated connectors connect to your existing factory speaker plugs — no cutting, splicing, or vehicle modifications required.
The flax woofer cone stays light and stiff while maintaining a natural overall sound.
Famous Focal sound
Focal uses their flax woofer cones in their Inside IS T3Y 100 4" component speakers. Focal discovered that a flax woofer cone produces a dynamic sound that's worthy of its reputation. At half the weight of fiberglass, these flax fibers help create a very rigid yet lightweight cone that ensures accuracy and limits unwanted vibrations.
You'll find another Focal innovation in these speakers: inverted dome tweeters. Combined with the system's premium inline crossovers, they produce clear, natural highs that let you hear your music the way it was meant to be heard.
Installation Note: Unless you're powering these speakers with an amplifier that has an active high-pass crossover, the included in-line filter must be used between the crossover and woofer.

They slide comfortably underneath the seats* and are super easy to attach, with no tools required, using the self-adhesive strips provided.
