The HMS 10 B2-LD-W long throw 10” marine subwoofers are engineered for infinite baffle application. The 2 Ohm configuration makes the most of the amplifier power. It relieves the main speakers from the hard work of reproducing the lowest frequency range, adding bass output and punch to maximize the overall system performance. The FEM optimized high-excursion mobile equipment of HMS 10 B with a 50 mm (2”) voice coil is driven by a massive magnetic group, to obtain a perfect control also at very high level SPL. Engineered and tested for the real environment of application (UV, salt-fog, vibrations, water spray, thermal shock, dust ) HMS 10 B2-LD-W is nature-proof. The progressive design aramid fiber spider with silicone-insulated lead wires ensures durability and constant performance over time. Hertz MLCX 2 TW.3 car audio crossover provides the ability to realize a bi-amplified system, that is, to connect two amplifiers, or anyway two separate channels, to the crossover, so making it possible to drive woofer and tweeter separately. The significant power increase with this configuration highlights all the features of the MLK 1650.3 Legend system, with all the advantages coming from the multi-amplification. Besides, thanks to the Mid-Contour and Hi-Contour controls, dedicated to the management of woofer cut-off frequency and tweeter cut-off frequency respectively, the cross-point can be varied. Through each of these two Contour controls, featuring a two-position selector, the system frequency response can be fine-tuned, adjusting it according to the different acoustics of the cars and the different speaker placements and, most of all, the listener can achieve their favourite sound.
1. Bi-amplification available, selectable through appropriate hi-current rating switch with hi-current carrying capability.2. Mid-Contour two-position control, for a linear mid-bass frequency response according to the woofers position in the car and the listener s favourite sound.3. Hi-Contour two-position control, to select the tweeter hi-pass crossover point selection according to the tweeter position/angle towards the listener.4. Mid-Contour in conjunction with Hi-Contour provides the ability to use MLCX 2 TW.3 to build a two way system based on ML 1650.3 or ML 1800.3 woofer together with ML 280.3 tweeter.5. Three-position switch for tweeter level adjustments in 2 dB steps, to fine-tune thetransducer s emission.6. Hi-Boost control, selectable through appropriate switch, to provide better linearity of the tweeter emission above 10kHz when positioned not on axis to with the listener.7. Extremely high quality bi-metallized 160V polyester film capacitors with ultra-low DF, for maximum sound transparency and neat mid/hi-frequencies.8. Air wound inductors built on pure copper-wire with up to 1mm diameter, for high saturation threshold of the magnetic flux and low losses on the woofer section where high transient currents are demanded.9. High power rating Wirewound resistors, to ensure performance stability even at high operating temperature. The Wirewound build construction grants low parasitic series inductance thus reducing losses at high frequencies, especially for resistors in series to the tweeter.

The installation of after-market woofers in factory placements limited by a reduced depth is a recurring problem that forces specialists to make complicated mechanical changes, extending the time to finish the job significantly. The Cento line new C 165 F flat profile woofer is the solution, thanks to a super slim basket with reduced depth that allows the use even in the most problematic OEM scenarios, widespread in new generation cars. The R&D team, through an extensive design process was able to obtain high performance even with the super slim basket feature. This was made possible by the optimization of the mobile group excursion and the new design of the cone and dust-cup geometry. Like the other components of the Cento range, the use of SPP-M (Semi-Pressed Paper-Mica) provides the C 165 F with a light and rigid cone at the same time that guarantees high efficiency and an extended frequency response.

Panel-to-panel internal bracing with solid corners minimizes resonances and round corners ease the placement. 2S² (2 Sides/2 Sounds) design provides the ability to choose between Down-Firing mounting, through supplied feet with Hook-and-loop inserts, to increase the low-frequency extension, and Up-Firing installation to obtain more punch and definition. SSP (Sub Smart Plug) features both Plug-&-Play terminal block and traditional push terminals providing bulletproof connection and quick release.

Hertz CBA 250 active subwoofer box, with the 10-inch driver, features a dedicated high-performance amplification module that enhances all the passive box technologies, such as the 2S²(2 Sides / 2 Sounds) design, the Plug & Play terminal block and ultra-compact size. The SSP (Sub Smart Plug) terminal block is provided with a single Plug & Play connector to be able to disconnect the box easily and safely. The amplification module, with power outputs of 250W RMS, is developed with he-li technology (high efficiency / low impedance), which thanks to the absence of the DC-DC voltage booster reach the impressive 90% efficiency level, very close to the theoretical limit of the D-Class. The Butterworth low pass filter at 12dB/Oct. with variable cut-off frequency (50-200 Hz) can be bypassed, when used with an external processor with pre-out output dedicated to the sub. The adjustable bass-boost control (0 ÷ 6 dB) at 45 Hz allows the user to emphasize the response on the lower side of the spectrum and the Phase control (0 - 180°) completes the equipment. The high-level speaker-in input on the multi-pole connector eases the integration with OEM audio systems while the low-level input on RCA is dedicated to the connection with after-market sources.
